With our heat recovery units, desuperheaters are fitted to the chiller’s refrigerant compressor lines. This achieves partial heat recovery, resulting in high grade hot water up to 55°C of approximately 20% of the chiller’s cooling capacity. For total heat recovery, the total cooling capacity and compressor input power are reclaimed as high grade hot water, again as high as 55-60°C. This hot water can then be used via a separate circuit for a different requirement or at another point within a manufacturing process.
Click here for further details on our JWA/HRTS and JWA/HRTP chillers. These units cover cooling capacities from 5 – 180 kW, the HRTS versions give 70-95% heat recovery, the HRTP models give total heat recovery.
