Established in 2001, Aqua design, supply and install innovative temperature control solutions, across the UK. Our Sales, Hire and Service teams support customers from every industry sector, whether they are looking to purchase, hire or maintain equipment. Products include process chillers, adiabatic, dry air & free coolers, cooling towers, temperature control units, boilers, air conditioning units and portable heaters. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated entrepreneurial Sales Engineer to join Aqua.

The Role

  • The main objective of this role is to sell industrial cooling equipment and services and to support the overall value proposition that is delivered via Aqua Cooling.
  • Responsible for proactively seeking, identifying and contacting new clients. This will involve understanding their business requirements, operational and environmental objectives.
  • Support other sales engineers in the area, technically and commercially, as a team culture.
  • Assist the Sales teams providing leadership, strategy and guide-dance the others in the team.
  • Your role as Technical Sales Engineer will see you be responsible for the sale of industrial cooling equipment and engineering services for a region of the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategic objectives of the Sales division.
  • Develop new contacts with, Facilities Management, OEM, Trade and End Users with targets, planning, energy solutions and standards
  • Accountable for developing sales
  • Successfully manage sales projects from lead until delivery on site
  • Ensure a pro-active customer approach is maintained at all times
  • Perform equipment demonstration to customers
  • Organise and attend exhibitions/marketing events
  • Identify potential opportunities for new equipment development, build business cases to support the initiatives, identifying and controlling risk and ensuring adequate returns for UK operations activity
  • Responsible for organising customer visits and managing own time
  • Maintain sales databases by inputting collected data and producing visit reports to management
  • Take lead/Offer support on specific ad-hoc projects such as tenders
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline for 6 months+
  • Selling high end complete solutions rather than individual products sales
  • High value projects £50k-£1MILLION
  • Organising diary for visits, appointments etc
  • On the road 3 days a week-high volume preference
  • Contract negotiation and costings

Person specification:

  • Graduate in Business or Engineering
  • Self-motivated and team player
  • Full driver’s license
  • Experience in sales, engineering, least 3 years working with chilled water systems.
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of employees
  • Experienced in planning, developing and executing multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills, and keen to develop ‘partner’ relationship with customers
  • No restriction to travel in-country and abroad
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office
  • Confidence in presenting and explaining technical details to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong Work ethic
  • Target driven
  • Commercial management experience
  • Technical knowledge of Designing Industrial Cooling System
  • Working knowledge of the Industrial Cooling Industry (3 to 5 years’ experience)
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Ability to plan, develop and execute multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong communication skills, and partner with customers
  • Home based Field Engineer
