Sales Engineer - Hire

Our Sales, Hire and Service teams support customers from every industry sector, whether they are looking to purchase, hire or maintain equipment. Products include process chillers, adiabatic, dry air & free coolers, cooling towers, temperature control units, boilers, air conditioning units and portable heaters. The Company has a clearly defined growth plan over the coming years which will offer employees training and development opportunities. Due to our continued growth we are seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer to join our Hire team, based in the North East of England.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving/dealing with incoming enquiries, including emergency calls from businesses who need boiler or chiller rental solutions.
  • Developing Sales leads, with the ability to identify and persue quality sales opportunities.
  • Pricing temperature control proposals to customers.
  • Carrying out site surveys and proposing solutions for chiller and boiler hire.
  • Understanding customer requirements and identifying the best resolution for the customer.

Skill Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience within the Hire temperature control industry, preferably HVAC related.
  • Ablility to communicate & build rapport with people at all levels, including being a strong negotiator.
  • Target driven, self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic & excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret business and client needs, including learning technical skills to support customers.
  • Experienced in carrying out temperature control site surveys, creating sales proposals & contracts.
  • Exceptional skills in developing Sales leads and converting them into orders.
  • Proven track record of time management within a sales capacity.
  • Financial awareness of sales margin & budgets.
  • Good administration skills, including being a competent user of Microsoft Office.  You’ll be expected to manage pipeline on our CRM, training will be given.
  • Full clean driver’s license.
