Chiller Glycol

Chiller Glycol – sometimes referred to as antifreeze – is essential in any Cooling system that could be exposed to an ambient temperature of less than 7°C. In the UK, for example, we’d recommend any externally sited unit to contain Glycol.

Protect Your Chiller

Having glycol within your chiller system will protect your equipment from damage, or even complete system failure, due to freezing during low temperatures or operating below 7°C.

At Aqua we offer a range of different chiller glycol products, depending on your process and specific chiller system requirements. All have been carefully designed to ensure they offer a high level of resistance to bacterial growth, scale and degradation. Our glycol fluids are ASTM D1384-05 corrosion tested, give efficient transfer of heat, high levels of freeze protection and are designed to offer cost benefits when it comes to system maintenance.

Chiller Glycol Products

  • - Aquacool MPG - monopropylene Glycol – with an inhibitor and biocide and non-toxic. For temperatures ranging from - 35°C to 120°C
  • - Aquacool BIO - a bio derived, non-hazardous fluid which is formulated from a petroluem-free derived diol, soucred from a 100% sustainable source. A certified Bio-Based product – particularly suited to the food and beverage market. For temperatures ranging from -50°C to 150°C
  • - Aquacool PLUS – a high performance, low oral toxicity monoproplylene Glycol with inhibitor. For temperatures ranging from -35°C to 120°C. Specifically designed for food and beverage processing plants

Monitor Your Glycol Levels

It’s extremely important that you regularly monitor the Glycol levels within your Chiller system to ensure maximum efficiency and levels of protection.

Maintaining Chiller Glycol levels are part of our Aqua preventative Chiller Maintenance plan.
