Turbocor Compressor, Air & Water Cooled Chiller Series, 280kW-2.6MW
The Industrial Turbocor Chiller range benefits from oil-free centrifugal compressor technology and the units give outstanding levels of performance and efficiency. Turbocor chillers achieve exceptionally high Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) and European Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (ESEER) figures with Coefficient of Performance (COP) ratings as high as 8.5. The range comprises of 21 variants, 13 water cooled chillers and 8 air cooled versions. Cooling capacities for water cooled go from 280kW to 2.6MW and capacities for the air cooled are from 270kW to 1.5MW. The chillers operate on R134a coolant.

The Industrial Turbocor Compressor
At the heart of every unit the Turbocor compressor integrates rugged magnetic bearings systems with variable-speed drive, high efficiency centrifugal compression and on board digital electronics to achieve a revolutionary leap, a quantum leap in fact, in part load energy efficiency.
All chillers, whether water or air cooled, are designed to optimise the performance of the Turbocor Compressors. They achieve better IPLV efficiencies than conventional oil-lubricated centrifugal, reciprocating, scroll and screw compressors. They are also high speed, up to 48,000 rpm, very compact, quiet, rugged and reliable. Power factor is a high .92.
Using a Turbocor compressor also eliminates high friction losses, mechanical wear and high-maintenance oil management systems to deliver energy savings of 35% and more over conventional chillers while ensuring long-term reliability. One of the original Turbocor manufacturers and any innovation risk with this component technology has been long overcome. There are over 3,000 operating chiller installations across the world, all delivering high reliability, outstanding part-load efficiencies and the overall lowest cost of ownership.
